<strong>Connecticut: New CTFML Regulations Released</strong><strong></strong>

The state of Connecticut expanded their Connecticut Family and Medical Leave (CTFML) effective August 3, 2022.  The principal changes include:

  • Expansion of coverage to almost any employer with one or more employees.

  • Employees are eligible for CTFML leave after 3 months of employment may use up to 12 weeks of leave in any 12-month period

  • CTFML leave may be used to care for parents, children (regardless of age), spouses, siblings, grandparents, other blood relatives, as well as someone whose relationship to the employee is the equivalent of a family member.

  • CTFML leave is available to employees who donate an organ or bone marrow
