Washington DC mayor signs $15 minimum wage bill into law

DC Mayor Bowser signed legislation into law Monday, June 27, 2016 that will raise the city’s minimum wage.  D.C.’s minimum wage will change to $11.50 per hour later this week.

Minimum wage will continue to increase each year until it reaches $15 in 2020. Thereafter, the rate will be adjusted annually according to an inflation index.
