Illinois: Minimum Wage Changes

State of Illinois to increase the minimum wage on July 1, 2022.

City of Chicago:

• $14.50 an hour for employers who have 4-20 employees

• $8.70 an hour for employers who have 4-20 employees and they are tipped

• $15.40 an hour for employers who have 21 or more employees

• $9.24 an hour for employers who have 21 or more employees and they are tipped

Cook County:

• $13.35 an hour and for tipped employees $7.40
