Minnesota Implements New Pay Transparency

Effective January 1, 2025, Minnesota employers with 30 or more employees in the state must provide salary information on all job postings.  The job postings must include:

  • The starting salary range or the flat rate of pay

  • If a range, it must include a finite minimum and finite maximum amount

  • The complete itemization of all benefits inclusive of health insurance, retirement plan benefits, and all other employee benefits offered

Job postings made directly by the employer, or by a third party must adhere to the Pay Tranparency requirements.
